Diggers and Dealers announce World Class Economist Niall Ferguson as Key Note Speaker for 2010
Respected economic commentator Professor Niall Ferguson will present the keynote address at the opening of the 2010 Diggers and Dealers mining forum to be held in Kalgoorlie on 2 August 2010.
As well as being a respected commentator on the current world economic crisis, Professor Ferguson is an economic historian with several acclaimed books, including most recently "The Ascent of Money".
Diggers and Dealers initiated in 2009 the inclusion of internationally respected economic commentators to provide delegates to Diggers and Dealers an insight to the current status of world economic conditions and outlook, particularly from a global perspective and to provide some view as to how the conditions may affect the international demand for resources, ability for projects to access financing, risk assessments etc.
Last year, Diggers and Dealers hosted Nouriel Roubini who provided a unique commentary for those attending Diggers and Dealers as well as providing an opportunity for those media representatives to get direct input from a commentator closely associated with international economics.
Niall Ferguson will provide an equally unique opportunity to enhance the knowledge of those attending Diggers and Dealers of how international economic conditions are developing and how the outlook may influence investment conditions for the broader resources and investment sector.
